Welcome to Spirit of Harmony, a site devoted to a collection of rounds and songs by Marilyn Power Scott. The Spirit of Harmony song book, published in 2007, contains 27 original rounds.* They range from two to eight parts and are appropriate for a wide range of ages and skill levels. Most of these short, but not necessarily simple, a cappella works are prayers in a universal way or address some aspect of healing.

    The companion Spirit of Harmony CD contains all of the pieces in the song book as well as three works written in 2008 that round out this particular collection—a pair of three-part songs and another round.

*Round: A song form with a single melody line that creates its own harmony when sung by several successive voices beginning at specific points. It’s fun, challenging and satisfying.
